Dovobet ointment (calcipotriene cream) is a topical corticosteroid that is used to treat psoriasis vulgaris by relieving itching, reducing swelling, and constricting blood vessels.

  • Do not use larger amounts or for longer than recommended. Thoroughly wash hands before and after use. Apply a thin layer of the medication and rub it in completely.
  • Do not apply the medicine to your face, underarms, or groin.
  • Do not cover the treated area with bandages, dressing, or tight clothing, unless otherwise instructed by your physician.
  • If you miss a dose of Dovobet, use it as soon as possible. If you do not remember until it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue on your regular schedule.
  • Do not take 2 doses at once to make up for the missed dose.
  • Do not use Dovobet if you are allergic to betamethasone, calcipotriene, or any of the other ingredients in the medication. Do not use the medication for more than four weeks unless otherwise instructed by your physician and do not apply to more than one-third of your skin surface at one time.

Serious side effects include:
