WHAT IS ARTHROTEC?

Arthrotec (Diclofenac Sodium, Misoprostol) is a prescription drug that helps treat symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis such as pain, inflammation, and joint stiffness. It is a combination of two drugs called Diclofenac and Misoprostol.

Arthrotec uses Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are responsible for the pain and inflammation in your body.

It also has Misoprostol, which is a prostaglandin medication that works by protecting the esophagus, stomach, and intestines from Diclofenac’s undesirable effects.
