WHAT IS VEMLIDY?
Vemlidy (Tenofovir Alafenamide) is a prescription medication that helps with preventing the spread of the hepatitis B virus in the body. It is also helpful in the treatment of adult patients with chronic hepatitis B virus. It belongs to a class of drugs called nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), which work by traveling to the liver and interfering with the enzyme called DNA polymerase. VEMLIDY DOSAGE

Vemlidy comes in one dosage form, which is a tablet, and comes in one dosage strength of 25mg.
For the treatment of chronic hepatitis B infection, administer Vemlidy 25mg, taken orally once daily with food.
No dosage modifications are required for patients with mild, moderate, or severe renal impairment. For patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), the use of this medication is not recommended if the patient is not receiving hemodialysis. If the patient receives chronic hemodialysis, they may administer the medicine after completing the procedure.
There are no dosage modifications required for patients with mild hepatic impairment. For patients with decompensated hepatic impairment, the use of this medication is not recommended.
In case you missed a dose of this medication, take the medication tablet as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose for your condition, skip the missed dose and take the next one. Don’t take a double dose of Vemlidy to make up for the missed dosage.
In case you are experiencing fainting or trouble breathing, which are possible symptoms of an overdose, call the local emergency hotline and seek medical attention immediately.
