Do not touch your ear with the ear dropper. If you are using this medication for the eye, instill 1 or 2 drops every few hours. This dose is used for around 2 or 3 days. Then the dose is reduced to 1 or 2 drops three or four times daily. To use the eye drops, pull your lower eyelid down with your fingers to create a pouch between your eye and your lower eyelid. Insert one drop and close your eye, placing your finger on your tear duct to stop the medicine from traveling to your nasal canals. Wait several minutes and repeat so that you have used two drops in the infected eye. If your doctor has recommended that you use a different dose, follow his or her dosing instructions.
