What is Paxil CR? 

Paxil CR (Paroxetine HCL) is a prescription medication that helps with the treatment of depression (major depressive disorder), panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).

For the treatment of social phobia, the recommended starting dose is 12.5, taken orally once daily. The dosage may increase by 12.5 mg every week. The maximum dosage is 37.5 mg. 

For the treatment of premenstrual dysphoric disorder, the recommended starting dose is 12.5 mg, taken orally once daily. The dosage may increase at one-week intervals. The maximum daily dose is 25 mg. 

For an off-label treatment of menopausal vasomotor symptoms, the recommended dose is 12.5 mg to 25 mg, taken orally once daily.
