Patient Family Information: Before using Kwellada Lotion, wash, rinse, and dry your hands from any lotion, cream, oil, or ointment. You can take a warm bath or shower prior to using Kwellada Lotion. Make sure you dry your skin off thoroughly before apply on the Kwellada Lotion. When applying the Kwellada Lotion, rub on enough lotion to cover the entire skin from neck down. Also rub the soles of your feet and under fingernails (Use a toothbrush to get lotion under the nails if needed. Discard the toothbrush when finished). After applying on the Kwellada Lotion, wear light clothing to not completely cover skin. Leave the lotion on for 8 to 12 hours and then wash off the cream completely and thoroughly. Apply the Kwellada Lotion only once. Do not apply the Kwellada Lotion to premature infants. When applying Kwellada Lotion on someone else, wear vinyl or latex rubber gloves, especially if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
