WHAT IS INCRUSE ELLIPTA?
Incruse Ellipta (Umeclidinium) is a prescription anticholinergic that helps treat symptoms of ongoing lung diseases, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. As a muscarinic receptor antagonist, this medication works by obstructing protein receptors called muscarinic receptors, which are responsible for controlling the airway smooth muscle. By doing so, the muscles relax and open up, allowing us to breathe more easily.
