Indications: Dristan Long Lasting Nasal Mist (oxymetazoline) is indicated for the temporary relief of nasal congestion caused by the common cold, hay fever, and upper respiratory allergies. It also helps relieve sinus congestion and pressure. This medication works by shrinking swollen nasal membranes, making breathing easier.
Do not use Dristan Long Lasting Nasal Mist if you are allergic to oxymetazoline or any of its ingredients. Do not use this product in or near your eyes. If you experience signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, swelling, shortness of breath, or irritation, stop using it and seek medical help.
Ingredients: The active ingredient in Dristan Long Lasting Nasal Mist is oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.05%. Inactive ingredients include benzalkonium chloride solution, benzyl alcohol, camphor, edetate sodium, eucalyptol, glycerin, menthol, polysorbate 80, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium phosphate dibasic, and sodium phosphate monobasic.
Directions: Follow your doctor’s prescription exactly. Before first use, remove the protective cap and prime the pump by pressing it down several times. To use, hold the bottle with your thumb at the base and place the nozzle between your first and second fingers. Keep your head upright, insert the nozzle into one nostril, press down firmly, and sniff deeply. Wipe the nozzle clean after each use.
- Adults and children 6 to under 12 years (with adult supervision): 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril every 10 to 12 hours. Do not exceed 2 doses in 24 hours.
- Children under 6 years: Ask a doctor before use.
Do not use Dristan Long Lasting Nasal Mist more than directed. Do not use for more than 3 days, as frequent or prolonged use may cause nasal congestion to return or worsen. This medication may cause temporary burning, stinging, sneezing, or increased nasal discharge. Do not share this container with others, as it may spread infection.
Side Effects: Common side effects include temporary burning, stinging, nasal dryness, runny nose, and sneezing. Tell your doctor if these symptoms last or worsen.
Serious side effects may include a fast, slow, or pounding heartbeat, dizziness, nausea, headache, mood changes, trouble sleeping, tremors, unusual sweating, or weakness. Contact your doctor right away if you experience any of these symptoms. A severe allergic reaction is rare but requires immediate medical help. Signs include rash, itching or swelling (especially of the face, tongue, or throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. This is not a complete list of possible side effects. - have heart or blood vessel disease

- have any allergies, including to sympathomimetics like pseudoephedrine

Drug Interactions:
Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs): Combining oxymetazoline with MAOIs can cause severe high blood pressure. Avoid using this nasal spray with:

- Phenelzine (Nardil)
- Tranylcypromine (Parnate)
Certain Antidepressants: Some antidepressants may increase the effects of oxymetazoline on blood vessels. Use caution with:
