Coreg CR – Carvedilol Phosphate (generic option for Coreg CR) is a medication used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), and heart failure, and to treat and prevent heart attacks. It works by affecting the heart and blood flow through arteries and veins.

Storage

Store at room temperature. Keep away from heat, moisture, children and pets.

Precautions

Before taking Coreg CR (Carvedilol Phosphate), inform your doctor:

• If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or breastfeeding
• If you are taking prescription or over the counter medication, herbal preparation, or dietary supplements
• If you have any allergies to drugs
• If you have diabetes, low blood pressure
• If you have congestive heart failure, depression, kidney disease

• Throw away the empty capsule and swallow the mixture immediately.

Contraindication

• Dark urine
• Clay-colored stools
• Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes)

• Tired feeling
• Decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm
• Anxiety, nervousness
• Sleep problems (insomnia)
