Aceon or Perindopril Erbumine (generic for Aceon) is used for those diagnosed with high blood pressure. It also protects those with coronary heart disease from heart attacks.

Storage

Store Aceon (Perindopril Erbumine) at room temperature away from moisture.

Precautions

• If you have kidney or liver disease, heart conditions, diabetes, or a connective tissue disease, you should consult your doctor before using Aceon (Perindopril Erbumine).
• If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding you should consult with your doctor if Aceon (Perindopril Erbumine) is right for you.
• Inform your doctor of your allergies, if you are undergoing dialysis; have high blood potassium, low blood sodium, or a sodium restricted diet.
• Also tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems which may affect their function, if you have lupus, or if you are dehydrated.

Warnings

• Allergic reactions are uncommon, but if they occur, immediately contact a doctor as you may need emergency treatment.
• If you have abdominal pain, you should contact your doctor as this may be a sign of intestinal swelling.
• Be cautious when participating in activities which require your undivided attention, as Aceon (Perindopril Erbumine) may cause drowsiness.
• Aceon (Perindopril Erbumine) has been known in rare cases to cause kidney damage.
• Occasionally Aceon (Perindopril Erbumine) may increase the body’s potassium level outside of its normal zone.

• You can take this medication with or without food.

Contraindication

• If you have allergies to any ingredient in this medication, do not use Aceon (Perindopril Erbumine).
• If you are in the second or third trimester of pregnancy, or if you have taken dextran sulfate within the past 72 hours you should not take Aceon (Perindopril Erbumine).
• If you have a history of an allergic reaction or inflammation due to ACE inhibitors do not use this medication.

• Severe allergic reaction
• Increase or decrease in frequency/amount of urination
• Chest pain
• Change in color of urine
• Trouble swallowing
• Fainting
• Quickened or other changes in heartbeat

• Persistent nausea
